The recently released Android 4.4 KitKat has brought many cool new features to the table, one of them being a much smarter Phone app that now keeps track of who do you call the most, and shows those contacts higher in the list in your call log or while you’re searching for them. This saves you time when browsing a huge list of contacts. Google has already announced that KitKat will soon arrive on all major smartphones, but if you cannot hold your horses for its official release on your device and want the smart call suggestion option on your phone right away, then give Calchas App a shot. Available at Play Store for free, Calchas is deigned to show you the most relevant suggestions based on the people you regularly call. It works separately from default Phone and Contacts app, and keeps track of data on its own. More details after the jump.
Calchas’ interface doesn’t look attractive at all; it’s overly simple and seems to carry the outdated design language from Gingerbread days. Aesthetics aside, you can access Contacts and Phone apps directly from the Calchas without even leaving the app, thanks to their icons at the top. Below them is the list if your frequently contacted people, followed by all your contacts. Tapping the entry for a contact in the list calls them, while tapping on their icon shows you other available actions.
You can configure different parameters regarding how suggestions are presented to you. For that, you will need to head to the Settings screen, which comprises of User Settings and Developer Settings. Under User Settings, user photos display in Calchas call log can be toggled.
You can also specify how many suggestions are shown between 5 to 8 or all. In addition, you can configure the app’s suggestions interface by sorting the list. The available choices include Suggestions (only), Suggestions (A2Z), Suggestions+ Call Log, Suggestions + Contacts, Suggestions + Call Log (A2Z) and Suggestions + Contacts (A2Z).
The Developers Settings, on the other hand, allows you to specify the Frequency and Regency of suggestions in days and hours respectively.  The app gives suggestions based on either alphabetical order or the predection score of each contact, which can be set by tapping ‘Set wf (wr=1-wf), followed by selecting the required prediction score from the proceeding menu.

Calchas App is currently available for free at Google Play Store and works on all Android phones sporting Android 2.2 and above. You can download it via the link provided below.
