Google's newest Android 4.4 KitKat brings out new features to the LG Nexus 5 and might be a new environment for owners. Check out the ten tips and tricks of Android 4.4 KitKat OS to access features and know the newest apps included.

1.      Google Now
Android 4.4 KitKat brings the Google Now service at the forefront and by simply swiping from left to right of your home screen, Google Now appears.

2.      Ok Google Activated
As of date, Ok Google feature found in Google Now recognise voices based on American English as updates are still coming out for other language support. If you are living in a non-U.S. territory, change the settings to activate Ok Google. Go to Settings > Languages and input > Voice search > Set language to English (U.S.).

3.      Hangouts App is the SMS/MMS New Client
Unlike with other Android versions, you won't seeing a messaging app client on Android 4.4 KitKat. Hangouts app becomes an integrated SMS/MMS hub for text and MMS messaging in addition its default functionality.

4.      Adding Home Screen
Pinching the home screen won't let you see how many panes are there and if you want to add more panels from the default three, simply drag one icon from home screen then stick it on the right till the panes changes. Once you reached the third pane, another panel will appear as your new home screen.

5.      Editing Home Screen Positions
After you have created the desired numbers of home screen, hold down on the blank space to rearrange and edit home screen positioning.

6.      Easy Immersive Mode
Nexus 5 features a set of soft keys which constantly appears on the home screen but using Immersive Mode, you can remove them during reading or watching your favourite video. Launch the book reader or movie player then tap on the screen to remove the soft keys.

7.      Wireless Printing
Android 4.4 KitKat features wireless printing to selected HP printers and other printers under Google cloud service or with apps from the Play Store. Go to Settings > Printing > Set configuration.

8.      QuickOffice with Google Drive
You can now open, edit and create documents, spreadsheets and presentations on the QuickOffice app and instantly save it to the cloud-based storage of Google Drive.

9.      Full Album Art
Lock screen image has been updated on Android 4.4 KitKat which now displays full screen album art of your favourite music or video. Launch the multimedia app desired then press the lock button. Press the lock key again to see full screen album art with seeking added as well.

10.  GPS Location Mode Battery Saver
Location-based settings get a new battery saving tool which minimises factor needed by the GPS on finding your location. Go to Settings > Location > Mode > Enabled Battery Saving
