LG launches the G4 Stylus in India for Rs 24,990

The LG G4 Stylus was revealed to be launching soon by a Mumbai based retailer last week. The smartphone has now gone official in the country, thanks to a listing on LG India's site.

The handset is yet to be announced by LG however, although we're expecting a press release to pop up sometime soon. The pricing of Rs 24,990 quoted on the company's website is the same as what was mentioned in the previous report. The smartphone should be up for grabs from online and retail outlets across the country over the coming weeks.

As the device is sold by a major manufacturer, we don't expect there to be any sort of exclusivity. The G4 Stylus is very identical to the LG G4 in terms of appearance and that's where the similarities end. The handset comes with a slightly larger display as well, albeit with a lowered resolution.

The addition of a stylus will come with a couple of handy software related features, although one can't expect features like we see on Samsung's Galaxy Note lineup here.

LG India is expected to bundle some exclusive software features along with the handset, which is a nice perk to have for a midrange device of this caliber. The G4 Stylus will be sold in Metallic Silver and Floral White color variants during launch.

Hardware specifications of the LG G4 Stylus:

5.7-inch 720p display
9.4mm thickness
163 grams
13MP rear camera
5MP front camera
1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor
1GB RAM
16GB storage (expandable up to 32GB)
3,000 mAh battery
4G LTE connectivity with dual SIM support
